Let's Learn About Quartzite

Believe it or not, quartzite is even harder than granite! According to Mohs hardness scale, it is even more durable than steel. Meaning, if you wanted to go ahead and forget a cutting board your countertop should come out unharmed. Quartzite is formed from sandstone and quartz. If you love the look of marble, but want something more durable, quartzite might be for you! Since it is natural stone, no two slabs are ever the same. You’ll be guaranteed to have something unique! While it is incredibly durable, still be sure to reseal your quartzite yearly (at least) so that you do not stain your beautiful addition.
