Kitchen islands... alternatives?

Islands. You may want one but not have quite the space for a full eating area with cabinetry. But that doesn’t mean you need to rule it out. An island can suit your kitchen to your style. You can even use a table with shelving and top it with granite or quartz! Find the perfect size for your space. It doesn’t always have to be over the top size wise if you can get the same look with something smaller. You can still have looks and practicality, and you can find the perfect stone to top it off. A smaller size also means more affordable. And if there is no island sink, you’re not paying any extra fees for cutouts or the sinks themselves. It’s a win win! You can still use the shelving for your plates to eat, or plants for show, and it won’t take up an immense amount of room that would take away from the walking area. An idea of an island isn’t always what it seems to be. It does take up space. Maybe think of an eating area for a peninsula instead! Don’t get us wrong, we love a good island, but if you have a kitchen on the smaller side adding an island right to the middle of it will get cramped. There are countless ways to add tables, shelves, islands, etc. to your kitchen. Find an idea to start and we’ll help bring it to life with some stone!
